Thanks to BART’s very helpful page on using Twitter for much of this info.
What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free service that lets you keep in touch with people (us) through the exchange of quick and frequent questions or statements like,”Why are the signals red?” or “Spare the Air Day: Get your free pass here.” Join now and follow @511CC to start receiving updates.
Okay, I signed up, and we’re friends. What now?
How we use Twitter will evolve in response to the feedback we receive. Sometimes we find interesting stuff online or other tweets that we think you might want to read. Mostly, though, we’ll highlight new promotions and programs on our site. You can also respond to our tweets or tweet about us (just add @511cc to the beginning of a new tweet), and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. We might even repost our favorite comments from fans.
Are you going to spam my cellphone?
No. We don’t plan on sending more than a couple of tweets a day, if that. Also, if you’re concerned about overusing your phone’s text messaging, we recommend using TweetDeck to manage your account for free from your computer.
