For commuters who currently drive alone to work and would like to try m
ass transit instead of driving.

If you currently drive alone to work and you live or work in Contra Costa County, or drive through Contra Costa County on your way to work, try using the bus, train or BART. You could be eligible to receive a $64 BART pass plus bus, which is approximately a week's worth of a commute.  

  • This program does not accommodate the immediate needs of stranded commuters.
  • This program does not accommodate an individual's request based on financial hardship.
  • The transit ticket incentive is a one-time per person and per household.
  • Offer available while supplies last. 
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to receive a complimentary transit incentive.
  • Current public transportation users (BART, bus, train, ferry) are not eligible for the incentive. 
  • Previous participants who have received any of the countywide incentives (college commute, carpool gas scrip, vanpool subsidy, transit/train pass) in the past are not eligible for the incentive.
  • Employers will be contacted to verify your employment. 

Complimentary tickets are available on a first-come, first served basis to eligible and verifiable commuters. Due to the popularity of this program, please allow three weeks for processing.
