511 Contra Costa provides a variety of financial incentives for commuters traveling to, from, or through Contra Costa County. The purpose of these programs is to acquaint Bay Area residents with their commute options and to encourage long-term use of carpooling, vanpooling, transit, and bicycling use. The use of commute alternative helps to relieve congestion and improve air quality. Only commuters who currently drive alone are eligible for any of these programs.
