511 Contra Costa receives Bay Area Air Quality Management District grants and local county Sales Tax for Transportation Improvement Project funds for the procurement of bike lockers and racks to support and encourage bicycle use to employment sites, retail centers, schools, colleges, and public buildings.  Contact us for more information about this program.

2009 Bike to Work Day in Contra Costa saw record cyclsits

This year the 36 Energizer Stations in Contra Costa saw rougly 4,000 cyclists. Not all cyclists were existing  bicycle commuters in fact in Central and East Contra Costa, first-time bicycle commuters were a larger percentage of the group that in past years.
